The Bedale Wax Jacket in Navy

Named after a rural market town in North Yorkshire, the Barbour Bedale® Waxed Jacket was first introduced into the range in 1980. Designed by our Chairman Dame Margaret Barbour, this lightweight style was originally designed to cater to the equestrian market thanks to its shorter length that is ideal for riding.

Features

  • Brass two-way ring-pull zip and studded 'Stormfly' placket
  • Two large bellow pockets and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets
  • Traditional corduroy collar with studs for a hidden throat flap
  • The popularity of the Bedale® has inspired a slimmed down version for women – the Beadnell, which is named after a small fishing village in Northumberland.
  • Bedale® is a registered trademark of J Barbour & Sons Ltd
  • Model height 6'2"; wearing size 38
  • Size 38 measurements: Chest 117cm / 46in, Back length 76.2cm / 30in

The Drip Strip

Designed for the equestrian market, the Bedale Jacket features a nylon inner 'drip strip' to prevent dampness from your horse's back seeping into the jacket when riding.

6oz Thornproof Waxed Cotton

Barbour's Thornproof waxed cotton is one of their signature fabrics. Offering weatherproof functionality and strength to provide durability to your outerwear edit.
